EA Sports announced that it will be discontinuing its FIFA game console. This decision was made due to the company's shift to focus on digital versions of its games. The console was released in 2013, and included a version of the game that worked with a physical disc. EA Sports stated that the console no longer fit in with their current strategy and plans. They will continue to support the FIFA game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as PC, mobile and the Nintendo Switch. This decision will not affect players' ability to play FIFA on any of the available platforms.
